In the 16th arrondissement, on the right bank, between Passy and La Muette, Brach Paris has turned the image of a neighbourhood renowned for its tranquillity and residential character on its head. Designed by Philippe Starck for Evok Collection, this hotel with 59 rooms and suites is unlike any other: people come here to sleep, of course, but also to have lunch, go for a swim, work out, or simply enjoy a coffee on the terrace overlooking the rooftops of Paris.
Spanning 7,000 m², Starck has drawn inspiration from the 1930s, the Bauhaus and the avant-garde to create an interior where wood, leather, marble and metal complement one another. The result is less a traditional hotel than a mini-neighbourhood within the neighbourhood: a Mediterranean restaurant open to all, a local patisserie, a 1,000 m² fitness centre with a swimming pool, and a rooftop terrace facing the Eiffel Tower.
Here at Magrey & Sons, we know this venue well. Our Parisian and international clients have lunch here, host events, catch up with their neighbours, and many tell us that it has changed the way they experience the neighbourhood. Let us take you on a tour of this venue, which has become an unmissable destination.
“Brach is not a hotel; it is a unique space for living and culture where poetic mysteries and inspiring surprises fuel the imagination. Sensual yet precise, minimalist yet eclectic, it exudes a raw, modernist romanticism warmed by multicultural influences from Africa, Asia and South America. It is an unusual place that invites exploration and travel – Philippe Starck”
At Brach Paris, guests are not welcomed at street level but on the first floor, as if to leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind. The lobby immediately sets the tone: totems and sculptures from faraway lands, objects one wouldn’t expect to find there, and on the ceiling an original painting by Ara Starck, whose motifs are echoed on the floor by a carpet. More than just a hotel lobby, it is a veritable gallery of applied arts, where every piece seems to have been chosen to tell a story. This aesthetic continues up through the floors, where no two spaces are quite alike. Wood, leather, glass and stone form a shared vocabulary, adapted to suit the different spaces and views, right up to the tree-lined terraces on the top floors which overlook the rooftops of Paris and, in some cases, the Eiffel Tower.
This is undoubtedly what makes Brach Paris so special: a place that inspires far beyond its own walls. Many of our clients find ideas there for their own homes a taste for fine materials, second-hand finds and works of art that breathe life into a space. It’s a valuable source of inspiration for anyone moving into the 16th arrondissement, whether to buy or to rent.
“I don’t know if this is the cuisine of today, nor probably that of tomorrow; it’s simply the cuisine I want to create right now,” says chef Adam Bentalha.
On the ground floor, the Brach Paris restaurant is open to everyone, and this is undoubtedly what has made it as much a neighbourhood favourite as a hotel restaurant. You’ll find travellers from all over the world here, coming to have lunch with friends, entertain a client or simply enjoy a meal in a place where you feel at home. On the plate, Adam Bentalha takes you on a culinary journey: sun-kissed produce, spices, fresh herbs, and generous dishes designed to be shared. The chef works with carefully selected producers, and this is evident in the confident simplicity of every dish.
The venue makes a striking impression from the moment you enter, with its twenty-metre-long counter opening onto the kitchen, featuring a cocktail bar, wine and cheese cellars, and stalls of fresh vegetables. Up to 110 guests can be seated between the counter, the large communal tables and the more intimate corners, not to mention around twenty tables on the terrace in fine weather. The décor, designed by Starck, blends oak, leather, metal and marble, punctuated by unusual artworks and objects, all under the watchful eye of a large painting by Ara Starck.
On weekend evenings, DJ sets take over and give the venue a whole new energy.
The terrace on the first floor of Brach Paris is a unique space, opening out onto the city, blending a vibrant indoor atmosphere with a tranquil outdoor setting. On Sundays, Adam Bentalha’s cuisine is transformed into a lavish brunch buffet, which has become an unmissable event for local families. The menu changes with the seasons, but the spirit remains the same: a generous Mediterranean spread, where everyone can put together their own plate according to their tastes.
Whether savoury or sweet, the buffet showcases the chef’s Mediterranean spirit in a sharing format: colourful plates, sun-kissed flavours and carefully selected ingredients, to be enjoyed as you please. And for those with a sweet tooth, the brunch classics are all here, right down to the desserts created by the in-house pastry team.
A tip from a neighbour: book in advance, as brunch is often fully booked, especially on sunny days when the terrace is open.

Next to the restaurant, the Pâtisserie de Brach Paris operates as a proper neighbourhood bakery, open to everyone. People pop in in the morning for a coffee and a pastry, or at the weekend to pick up a cake to share with the family. At the helm, pastry chef Fabien Emery puts his own unique spin on the great classics. His creations, which are highly visual and colourful, almost resemble small architectural pieces, whilst never losing sight of what makes a good pastry so enjoyable: taste above all else.
1,000 m² of tranquillity This is one of Brach Paris’s most iconic spaces. Spanning 1,000 m², the sports club draws inspiration from the aesthetic of 1930s boxing clubs: raw materials, carefully crafted lighting and state-of-the-art equipment, all set against a backdrop that is both striking and welcoming. But what strikes you most of all is the atmosphere. It feels like a private club, where seasoned athletes, enthusiasts, hotel guests and local residents all rub shoulders. A cosmopolitan community that comes here as much to train as to socialise, making this club much more than just a gym. For many residents of the 16th arrondissement, it has become a daily fixture, just a few minutes from home. A real bonus for anyone looking to settle in the neighbourhood.

It is precisely this rare combination of tranquillity, culture and vibrancy that convinced Magrey & Sons to make the 16th arrondissement one of its favourite areas. Since 1969, the firm has been assisting a discerning clientele in the acquisition of exceptional properties, from the Côte d’Azur and Monaco to the heart of Paris. Magrey & Sons now puts this hard-won expertise at the service of those who dream of settling just a stone’s throw from Brach Paris.

Because at Magrey & Sons, we pass on a way of life. That of a neighbourhood where neighbours share lunch on a sun-drenched terrace, where you cross a bustling street to visit a museum.
